Orienteer at Patapsco/Avalon This Sunday

Greg Lennon

It is expected to be sunny this Sunday, but fear not, you are unlikely to overheat while orienteering this Sunday at Patapsco Valley State Park. Our registration area is at the Avalon area, with event timing as usual (start any time between 11 - 1:30, be back before 3pm).

Course setter Ted Good has set a full set of seven courses (white through blue), in terrain accessed by a short walk over one of the nearby bridges. Please read Ted's notes on the event webpage especially with regard to the pedestrian tunnel many participants will use to go under one section of train tracks.

With an updated map and a chance to run in sunny open woods, make a plan now to be at Patapsco this Sunday!

P.S. Speaking of plans, if you haven't already registered for QOC's Training Weekend at Prince William Forest Park March 11-12, fees go up after today (Feb. 24), with the final registration deadline March 6. [Note that the Night-O on Saturday is a separate event and is open to all.]
